i was gonna feel bad for trashta but having read the novel, navier reminded both her and sovieshit to remember their place, a concubine and an emperor but both wanted more than they could handle. so no, rashta was only a product of her delusions and sovieshits coaxing. i do feel bad for her end, i didn expect her to go like that, but sovieshit should def suffer more
Rashta absolutely ought to take responsibility for her actions, there’s no arguing that.
I believe she’s a tragic figure though and the blame out to lay MUCH more heavily on Sovieshu.
From the moment Navier declared she would marry Heinry, Sovieshu stopped treating Rashta like a person. At most she was like a puppy that was getting on his nerves. He cleaned up after her without addressing the cause of her actions and doing nothing to protect the people around her from the demon HE brought into the castle.
I can only pity her because from the get go, Rashta never had control. Not as a slave, not as a concubine, and certainly not as Empress. She was failed at every turn and never given the support she needed to become a good person.
To anyone who felt bad just remember Trashta commanded an assassin to bring her long time friend’s head for no reason except check the assassin ability to kill.

And I wished sovieshit should have suffered more than just humiliation. He is the main instigator of all one way or another. He was the one who was in the marriage but chose to do according to his greed. I hate him more than trashta. Maybe she wouldn’t have made these decisions if he just kept her in check.

No one manipulated Trashta, she choose to cut someone tongue, pluck the feathers of the bird sovieshu gave navier, tried to kill the duke daughter etc. So she is a terrible person
The ex-husband of the first woman Rashta spread unsavory rumors about in the very, VERY early chapters because she needed to take heat off of herself for being a runaway slave. Can’t remember the victim’s name, but it was one who gave birth prematurely and Rashta stoked a rumor about her baby being illigitimate.
