I don’t feel bad for Allen in the slightest. He was a spineless little rich boy who knocked up his literal slave and didn’t have the decency to even tell her that their child was alive until it was far too late.
Unpopular opinion but the one I pity is actually Rashta.
Not because she didn’t do anything wrong, but because she was used by everyone her entire life.
-Her bio dad made her a slave
-The viscount and his daughter tormented her constantly (the viscountess was likely complicit too)
-Allen took advantage of her (how on EARTH could Rashta have rejected him when he could quite literally kill her or at least make her life an even worse hell in retaliation to the smallest slight)
-There’s also the whole orchestration of giving her a DEAD BABY
-She finally finds someone who can get rid of her status as a slave and hangs on her every word but oh, he’s actually married
-This guy spends months telling her the thing he likes best is how “simple”/ “pure” she is (aka a naive airhead with the maturity of a 12 year old), leaving her to fend for herself as basically everyone in the entire fucking kingdom bashes her because they support his wife
-She gets manipulated by basically everyone around her
-Her new man divorces his wife, seemingly for her, only to immediately begin neglecting her and constantly criticizing her for not being the exact opposite of all the things he said he liked about her
-Her former abuser shows up to extort her
-Her bio dad shows up to extort her
-The only person she thinks is her friend is manipulating her into making terrible decisions that will come back to bite her
-Her now husband basically can’t even look at her without criticizing her/ comparing her to his ex-wife
-She is not given any tutors to help her understand how to govern
-All she knows how to do is lash out like a child because that’s how she was basically fucking groomed into acting but now she’s a child with the power of life and death over thousands and her shit for brains husband just left her to her own devices. He only intervenes to cover up her messes rather than y’know, preventing them or talking to her about the weight of responsibility HE put on her.
-And ofc when it all inevitably blows up in her face, EVERYTHING gets pinned on her while the man who broke laws to have her as his legal wife AND is the one who ACTUALLY drove away a competent and well loved monarch, only gains more support as a tragic man who was deceived by the evil, evil witch.
Am I the only one who doesn’t feel bad for any of the people that appeared in this chap (except Evelyn)? They all got what they deserved.

Am I the only one who feels bad for the biological father of rahtas kids? Like he was betrayed by his parents then her and was only thinking about his son but he gets to die too..
