lmao not even marrika… they were already trying to usurp the mana of the new mages in the eastern empire since the western KINGDOM at the time had that greed… when heinly went to the east as a bird, he was just there to scout. ofc he had heard about navier and sovieshit but he wasnt exactly espectjng to fall in love with navier.. heinly/henry has been cannonically violent and greedy.. pretty much the reason why he didnt/wasnt taking the throne.. but his brother died due to the sickness. so now hes merely trying to act on his greed.. but navier is in the way of his world domination plan
@changemyname that is most of it. The reason why he wanted to Conquer the eastern empire was primarily for Navier. He wanted to force them into a position where they have to give a hostage and was hoping to romance her while being held hostage but the fact she basically came to him essentially wanting to be taken away he has kinda stalled the plan a bit though not completely stopped it.
Earlier in the story mages where losing their magic, that girl who gave our empress that Dimond was one of the pages who lost their power. She recently got it back because Henliey gave her back her powers because neivia was worried about her. Henley wanted to concour the Eastern empire which is why he was getting rid of the mages power. So it would be easier. But he’s changed his mind as of late.
