I don’t really understand the comments being sympathetic to Trashta. Yes, she’s struggled and lived with slavery but she is a vicious person. She’s didn’t work hard and she isn’t cute. She schemed, had sex to get ahead, harmed others and in the novel it talks about how she doesn’t care about nobles or commoners but IF she had to choose anyone, it would be slaves. People go through terrible things and still have a moral compass and are decent. She is none of those.
I agree with you. People have to be insane to have sympathy for her. Atleast the antagonists, who show how they actually are could have that sympathy, but not trashta.
