what a stupid and poor written villain/final boss. like the author forced their own characters to do villain role while establishing so weak of a reason to do so.
this makes zero sense. I thought it was clearly well established that Olivia knew her husband was a piece of shit who’d chase any skirt that catches his eyes. On top of that, she factually knew he was harassing FL, because everyone in court knew she was fending off his sexual harassment. Eus himself beat his ass over that. It’s simply completely unfeasible to play it as Olivia blaming FL having all that established on top of Olivia’s personality being smart and cunning. Suddenly she became mad and stupid instead? Even in the worst of despair people don’t suddely become someone else, and she’s not even that despairrd anyway, she’s still part of the royal family and could remarry anyone now that she’s free of that trash of a husband. Girl, this is such forced unnecessary drama just to make FL “suffer” again and ML save her ass again, and for what? What exactly does this add to the story? Fucking nothing, we’ve already seen plenty of this same scenario before.
It’s the most boring and lazy-written villain ever. The story literally showed the princess like 2 times?? I don’t remember. But yeah, it’s doesn’t make you feel anything
I wanted so bad for author to give crown princess better development even if she’s a villainess. Like she could scheme to overturn palace and etc but instead she decide to do bad things for another woman that she jealous to (our MC). Ehh maybe one day authors will write better women characters (doesn’t matter if they’re MC, MC’s friend or villainess)
A bit controversial, but I really enjoy Rashta from The Remarried Empress. I wish she was the main character! A woman desperate to survive in her new circumstances, navigating noble life by herself. Turning away from the people who could help her and getting close to the people who would use her. Rashta is the best part of the story in my opinion and it’s such a shame that she’s not the main character and stuff that happens later.
