MY READING HISTORY
You don't have anything in histories

That was very accurate representation of how religious site priest and their subordinate work. Well in my country we have many religious site and people offer lots of money. They have money total worth of more than billions $.

The goal isn’t disproving the existence of something “holy” although the very concept of holiness is inherently antithetical to most abrahamic and eastern religion in relation to humans. The point these authors are trying to highlight is most likely that organized religions are corrupt, have been corrupt and will be corrupt so long as they are given control over humans outside of simple communion of faith. IE control over governments, ability to discriminate against people, insistence on evangelizing.
My largest assumption here for why it’s mentioned so much in fiction is probably due to religious trauma. People write about what they’ve experienced in some respect anyway- and if there’s a pattern of abject distrust of organized religions- well there is probably a reason for that.
You don’t find faith in a church, haven’t for a long time- all you find is the seedy underbelly of humanity operating under a think veil of sanctity to appease its greedy maw.

I think they do it because that’s how it is in real life the church in most if not all religions only really care about money and power.

Yeah her “holiness” albeit in the demonic sense.
Another ‘evil’ impersonating ‘holiness’ for power and influence.
Its already a cliche.
.
Haaah…seriously -_-
There are way too many stories like this now a days.
It used to be amusing at first..but they are overdoing it to the point it is nauseating.
Reminds me of WOW with its stupid story patches.
It got so nonsensical that many veteran players stopped playing this globally-popular game altogether at some point.
It sometimes feel forced even.
As if they are trying to engrave it into everyone’s consciousness that there actually and truthfully IS NO such a thing as ‘holly’ in existence.
.
Then WHY is it that all evil, dress themselves as ‘holy’ when they try to deceive?!
Does it not mean that there IS such a thing as ‘holy’ in this universe then?
It seems like not only does it really exist but we are drawn to it for some reason subconsciously.
Otherwise these ‘evil’ entities wouldn’t have gone out of their way to impersonate the ‘holy’ to influence and ultimately deceive us, right?
Whatever and however it is, it does exist in this universe somehow.
.
I wish authors start coming up with better more creative, interesting and engaging concepts in their plots before this whole cliche is completely exhausted of its little-remaining potential.
