@HondaTohru I’m not lacking empathy, I’m an idealist, and I analyze narratives- and the entire premise of how the author is pushing Eunhyuk onto us after how epically he’s fucked up is entirely flawed, and I stand by what I’ve stated. I do not give a shit if you disagree- I don’t know why you’re here haggling me? Good for you for liking a bland and cliche af ml with no spine who has continuously gotten on most of our nerves in pt II, but the rest of us won’t stop stating our opinions. It seems pointing out the obvious, and the mass dislike for Eunhyuk has struck a nerve in you, but that’s a you problem. 🤷🏻‍♀️ And let’s not downplay the crap Eunhyuk’s pulled with the no-communication- Su-ae’s clearly given him an out from this mess he’s created, and trauma or no trauma- you owe the honest truth to the person you love when they keep insisting you are hurting them by keeping them in the dark! No amount of excuses and twists can make light of ghosting your girlfriend for ten years after telling her you love her, and then having the sheer audacity to play aloof and indifferent when you meet her again; instead of sincerely apologizing! And then to act jealous and act the part on top of that is fucking absurd and disgusting! You would have to be a desperate dumbass to give someone like that a second chance in my book- I have far too much pride and integrity for it, and I will critique any plot I see repeating this stupid misogynistic element again and again. Moreover, Eunkyuk can at least have the decency to fully walk away and stop coming back if he’s so adamant on remaining firm on his stance. Also, if we’re here talking about trauma, then Dohwa clearly had a harder life! He was all alone, starving, misunderstood; exploited, fending for himself all this time, and he was a much better friend to Su-ae than she ever was to him. Let’s not villainize him in that regard. He’s just always been the more likable individual character, and when paired with Su-ae- in this timeskip, he’s far more suitable and deserving than Eunhyuk. Anyway, stop bothering me now and agree to disagree! You just can’t take it that I’ve called out the blatant hypocrisy and pointed out the obvious. I also have higher hopes and feel disappointed; therefore, have a right to state my critique.

@HondaTohru Honey, I don’t give a rat’s ass if you’ve “lost your patience”- you have clearly lost the plot, and there’s a reason why the masses agree with my rhetoric, and not yours! Eunhyuk not communicating with Su-ae EVEN NOW- leading her on, constantly confusing her by acting hot and cold, and then sabotaging her means to move on IS in fact a red carpet! And no, Dohwa did NOT abandon anyone- Su-ae placed a firm line between them and he accepted that she was with Eunhyuk and left her alone. He only recently found out that she was single and chose to reenter her life fully after SHE contacted him first. And even then, he’s been respectful and reiterated that she can take her time and tell him to back off, but she’s been leading him on this entire time rather than straight up tell him no. He’s caring and has always been there for her even in the past. He’s in love with her- this is how people in love behave- and unlike Eunhyuk, he is incredibly tame. Besides, from my perspective, it’s rude and inappropriate to give your blessing to someone, and then go on to keep contacting their girl and creating chaos in a healthy relationship on the verge of blooming- it’s manipulation and gaslighting, which is what Eunhyuk’s constantly doing! I used to root for him in part I, but I’m not a dimwitted doormat like you lot- we have a thousand stories like this already published, and they have never bode well with readers, this is nothing new- True Beauty is literally paralleled. You sound like an enabler, and realistic ideals call for massive alarm bells in such toxic relationships. Have the day that you derisive and take a hike!

Honestly, I don’t really care that much. But where exactly is he sabotaging anything? I don’t see that at all. He’s clearly a yearner, just like Dowha, but in a completely different way. If people can’t see that, I honestly don’t understand it.

I’m fine if someone says Dowha is better or that they prefer him, but calling Eunhyuk a red flag or saying he’s sabotaging things is something I just can’t agree with. It feels like you have no empathy. He has a really painful past, and if you had gone through the same things, you might have ended up just as messed up.

He tries to make Sooae feel good and cared for, but he also has to think about himself sometimes. Dowha, on the other hand, often says things like “I’m disappointed” or expects hugs, which can feel pressuring too.

And about the “gaslighting” claim—sometimes people pull away when they’re dealing with problems. We also only know part of Eunhyuk’s backstory. He does care about Sooae, just not in a superficial way. For example, when Sooae and Dowha were photographed by paparazzi, who was the one who handled the situation even though it wasn’t his responsibility? Exactly.

So yeah, I really can’t understand how people jump to calling Eunhyuk a red flag.
Like girl your lacking on a brain and empathy:)

Everyone that always says that dohwa is a green flag .Can’t you see that dohwa is so insecure and hides her phone like bro. He can‘t even accept that she friendzoned him and ask her like the previous chapter (i think ) that something is missing (the hug) like… Ik dohwa deserves better but thats too much

Ikr. He is again all set to leave her. While dohwa is actually making genuine efforts to woo her even when all this time she only disappointed him. He still has her back. While eunhyuk, as the scum he is, he will prolly get forgiven and get away with all he had done since he is the so called ml. M f done with these plots. The ml can be an absolute jerk, and still get the fl, while the fl is dense and dumb enough to keep giving that jerk second chances while 2ml gets the short end of the stick.

Just when I feel like things are headed in a more interesting and preferable path, we’re jolted back to this god-awful, dragged-out, and unnecessary plot line with Eunhyuk! I will repeat this from some chapters ago: Dowha deserves better than Suae. He’s far too good for any of them- that much is apparent! These comments are a mess, and clearly most readers haven’t understood jackshit about the plot, lmfao!
I don’t like the route the author is taking; despite the little changes and twists she’s added to deviate from the cliché, it is still the most predictable, played out, and awful plot line for an endgame scenario. She’s ruined Suae and Eunhyuk entirely at this point, but Suae still has a chance to bounce back by growing a pair and genuinely falling for the obvious better choice all around, which is Dohwa. The stupid excuse of making him a movie star is so ridiculous and flawed- it’s as if he’s bound to celibacy or something for the rest of his life?! Give me a break! Even in a work of fiction, when using realistic themes, idealism comes into play by proxy, and Eunhyuk is a red flag, and no excuse will be good enough for what he’s done, and Suae will be the biggest fuckn idiot for forgiving him and getting back together.

Just because eunhyuk left her after ten years without saying anything doesn’t automatically make him a red flag or mean he can’t communicate. His mother died and he cut off contact with his father, so he clearly has a really difficult backstory. Meanwhile, dowha also disappeared for ten years without explaining anything, yet people ignore that. On top of that, he constantly crosses boundaries — he hides her phone, pushes her to hug him, and generally tries to win her over in an obvious way. Eunhyuk on the other hand, does everything quietly. He watches over her and feels deeply guilty, even getting sick because he blames himself for her getting sick, while the dowha actually wants her to feel bad. So it’s not as simple as calling the first one a red flag. Like everyone has an opinion ik but when someone says that eunhyuk is a red flag I have no patience left like don’t raitbait
