Everyone thinks the FL is stupid but it’s just the society that’s so damn rotten … It’s not her fault.. although having lived a good number of decades if not centuries she should know how humans work which means she didn’t properly interact with people…. It’s obvious she’s a good person…

Let’s hope Saharo won’t make another “foolish” mistake and leave him with someone she deems trustworthy. Hopefully she actually gets involved with his personal life to prevent something like this from happening in the future.
I get it, her not killing the devil at all but it doesn’t really make sense for her to just be “observing” when it’s SOOO OBVIOUS how people are treating the “evil” human. She should’ve just adopted the child and look after him till his death then acting like a creepy ass stalker/ sugar momy. Gosh I’m loosing my shit with all her “logics”. Yup, she deserves to suffer, I favor the Gods on this one.
The FL is not as stupid as yall paint her out. she had a duty to exterminate the evil and make sure it never comes out- meaning giving him a happy life until he dies. when you think of of a trustable orphange you would think the person living there would be safe and happy. and as she cannot interact with the recipitent, gifting from a distance would be the best option. (that also means she cannot possibly know everything thats going on) Everyone please consider this tough situation. Its not the FL who’s stupid, it’s the society where this takes place.
also a note, in the letters yannik seemed to be satasfied so of course leaving the FL to think everything was fine. she had no idea, and neither would you too if you heard good feedback!
she cant get too close to the recipitent, she said so herself. imagine caring for a child, getting emotionally attatched, and the having to kill them later on- if there was a chance that he turned evil. There would always be a chance that it would happen, so it would be better to just watch carefully and make sure he lives a good life
i was trying not to complain that she does not follow up on the people she entrusted Yannik to.. but im glad im not the only one finding the FL being kind of dumb. She only finds out after years it happens. what a dummy. but i will keep reading c: see how far i can go and maybe start to like it better.
