I feel like this duel method is flawed as for example their ‘judge’ is a valued asset to their team that is not necessarily trained in swordsmanship. The duel form being permitted to be used against non-combatant roles is in itself a flawed way of running their mercenary group as it would make them undesirable to cooks, nurses, judges or financiers- hell even some armourers wouldn’t follow camp if not sword trained if this is a real risk. This group would be seen as savages.
