For those of you who insulted the mother because she married the brother, she was a woman in a time when women didn’t have power. Worse yet, she was considered an outsider being of gypsy blood. She married the brother because he told her he would protect her. We all knew he wouldn’t but that’s because we know how these things turn into. The mother only wanted to protect her daughter. The second time she signed away her daughter’s rights to inherit was because her daughter became deathly ill and she wanted to save her life. I am very disappointed that we have become a society of victim blaming. The mother was not only tricked and deceived but she did it all to save her daughter. Have a problem? Blame the society they live in and the brother who obviously did this to steal his brother’s fortune AND probably had something to do with his death.
I’m beyond confused how she will get everything back? They’re already in Charge of everything because her stupid mom was weak and married her husband’s blood brother. Her mom even signed away all rights and made her daughter an illegitimate child. That’s like spitting in the face of her dead husband and saying she cheated on him. Her mother was an idiot true and through. It sucks that dhe has to suffer for it but technically speaking her uncle has all his rights. She can get revenge sure but her mom was the OG villain for being stupidly weak.
Yes, it was her mother’s fault. The mother was rushed to decide and just like that, everything went plopped. So sad that it was Roby who suffers it all,and her mother died leaving her a traumatic life
Maybe she will try to gain more power in high society by involving herself with the empress. If she gains the empress’ trust then maybe she can be her lady in waiting. If she proves that she’s worthy and useful, the empress might be a great help to vouch on with that baptismal certificate (that even her uncle is unaware of) that can prove her legitimacy.
And don’t blame the mother. Again, she doesnt have enough power that time. She made a mistake of trusting her husband’s brother but we cant make her the villain. She’s just a victim too. She gave up her daughter’s legitimacy so that the bro in law/ husband would divorce her (she was a victim of domestic abuse)
