I love caramel one time my mum made it for me and my siblings and it was so good but it stuck everywhere😭

I love caramel candy, I just keep it in my mouth and try not to chew it. It can be a pain once it gets stuck on your teeth 😭. It’s best to treat it like a lollipop

I like caramel, its just a pain to eat. Its stick to every single tooth and its crevices. ?

I’m not a fan of caramel, lol but surely the emperor was reminded of his childhood and old memories when he saw and tastes Mel’s peanut caramel candy. When he’s young he loves caramel candy. And Mel’s candy has a special ingredient to improve vitality

I love old fashioned caramel but I hate the salted caramel craze going on. I can’t find normal caramel anymore lately lol But regular caramel is really good.

the tl is a bit… rough… anyone else find the whole caramel thing kind of odd? i feel like it’s very basic and simple, i don’t know why it would be “old-fashioned” and nostalgic? maybe it’s a a cultural difference, since caramel and caramel-flavored things are super common and ubiquitous here

i think its the sentiment? i remember the first time i was allowed to eat caramel lol, it was super sweet but i liked it a lot cuz my mom gave it to me

Straight-up caramel candies (the chews and the hard candies like Werther’s Originals) are an “old people candy” even though they taste good. They’re like the default candy old people have on them and give out to kids, and that just kind of became their association. I’ve pulled out a bag of Werther’s when I was a kid and even as a college student; my classmates both times made fun of me for having “grandma candy” but still ate them (because they’re delicious).
Caramel added to drinks, choclates, and other confectionaries aren’t labelled in the same vein, but they’re definitely seen as the safe but uncreative flavor in the food and drink industry since caramel is near universally liked and done so many times over at this point in time (ex. M&M came out with caramel-filled, and made fun of themselves for their own lack of creativity and even used the old-fashioned cube shape)
