It’s not “She thinks I was privileged and pampered and she’s jealous of that”.
It’s “She thinks if I had the chance, I would’ve continued to hide my magic powers and looked the other was while other magic user suffered. That I am only here because I have no other choice not out of a sense of solidarity. I would’ve lived my life in blissful ignorance and, if given the opportunity, I would happily make myself an exception to the prejudice.”
God, why do they always have characters who hate FL for “no good reason’ and then they learn her tragic backstory and fall over themselves apologizing. Or they don’t and thus are unquestionably evil and irredeemable.
