Like, I really like stories about aristocracy (hence why I’m here) but when they go out of their way to point out the damage feudalism has on commoners and how little freedom/protection they have… only to go: “Actually this guy with the same and/or greater powers than the rest is good so the system itself is fine actually. They’re just bad apples.”
Really??? you think that a world where you’re basically considered property of your territory lord is fine, actually – so long as he’s nice about it?
Either address this properly or don’t act like you’re gonna focus on it.
