i do understand ophelia’s frustration though, even if the way she reacted was undoubtedly selfish and immature. Not only is she in the body of a child, but she was nothing but a normal citizen in the past and so becoming queen and having to handle the state of affairs is a very tiresome job. Especially when no one approves of her accession to the throne. And its even more irksome when someone, particularly a man with power, tries to do your job for you. It must have made her feel like she’s being underestimated and that cloud sees her like they do; a child unfit for rulership.
But it was nice of Cloud to help, obviously. Yet i would be just as mad if suddenly these old stupid fuckers ignored me completely but was all ears to the stronger and more influential man (who is also close to her in age no less). I personally do think both are in the wrong here. Ophelia should have reacted better and took control rather than running away, and Cloud shouldn’t have acted like they were equals when she’s clearly the one running the kingdom.
Ophelia should have expected this since she wanted to become queen, despite that, i still cannot blame her since its a realistic reaction to feeling insecure about ones own capabilities.
