I agree with @catfish, why is the FL talking high and mighty when she could have just said thank you and tell him that she would pay him back… through out the story so far FL is so dry like there’s no character development at all ?
As someone who have been in debt like her, I know how proud someone can be when it comes to money. I hated when others paid for me because I felt like I was useless and pitiful, it took me a while to accept and understand that the other people were only trying to care for me. So she is in this process of being proud to later on understand he’s reasons of wanting to help her so much.
The FL have her pride too 😒 she doesn’t want to look like someone who married just to pay off her debt that’s y she wanted to try and pay it back her self to feel like she did something for her family with her own hands since they always gave to her it’s not that she’s not thankful but like she said what if they fell out and he hung the dept over her head it’s not like she knows he loves her he’s a total stranger
Why not thank your husband for doing what needs to be done…such ungrateful brat,. if he did not do that how can you pay your cousin with such huge amount of debt….besides, he’s your husband now..your problem is his problem too.. don’t be so prideful girl… you’re making the story dry …
I just imagined a scene like: The ml and fl are in the living room sitting face to face with eachother. The fl elegantly drinking her tea without sparing the ml a glance and also with a smile. The ml looks out to see the thunder, lightning and dark clouds. In his mind ” why does it seem like my wife is mad? No she seems to be furious”
