manhwa-only readers do not understand how OVERTLY HOMOEROTIC the original was and how that’s the entire point. dokja’s narration drives the nail into that coffin. if a girl is pretty, he just says they’re very beautiful. if a man is pretty, he goes on a three-paragraph long rant about how ethereally gorgeous they are with chiseled jawbones and a nice chest and shoulders. dokja shows negative romantic interest in every woman he meets, including those explicitly beautiful and rich and into him. he’s gay. get over it. get your homophobia outta my house and stop thinking the yaoi fangirls are just making shit up again. the editors had to go back and rewrite parts of the novel to sound less gay for print publication because of pushback from trash like you
