Why? It’s her choice, sure. But it’s not only hers to make. It’s not just HER son. People tend to think that just because the woman is one to carry the baby, that she has all the power over the child, but she doesn’t. It takes two to make a baby, not one. The emperor should have been given the chance right away.
I didn’t like the idea of her raising her son without even giving the emperor a chance of knowing he had a son. But oh well, her Decision should be respected even if it was wrong from the start.
