i understand both of their viewpoints, but it’s not really his fault that he’s not mourning. In a real life situation, of course Morten’s death would be sad, but unless you know the person personally, then you’re not really in the position to grieve. The FL experienced death, which is sad, but not everyone mourns for someone they don’t know.
It happens. Death is natural and it happens way more than you think. Every second of the day is a person dying, and a new one being born. It’s sad, but the maid’s death is kind of escalating at this point. It feels like a pointless conflict used to cause a rift between the main leads. If the FL has her suspicions, she should stop boo-hooing about the concept of death and tell the emperor what she thinks so this can be resolved.
