Aaaand once again the poor unfairly mistreated heroine is saved by the male lead, pampered by servants who have never met her before but all act super-sweet and she is showered with presents… It’s all so cliché so far. At least we learnt that she loved to read books. But she hasn’t read many? So what the heck did she do all day up until now?
And if bringing personal servants is “common” for her rank, did she have some with her when she entered her first marriage – were these people jsut “kept” by her ex-parents-in-law like some pieces of property? Gosh, the story has so many holes already and it has barely started….
