God the translations are horrible. I wonder if the Spanish translatora or the Br Portuguese have gotten to this story yet. They at least have pride in what they’re doing and make the story make sense

MC from the OG was still a child, for 1. Secondly, she was trying to be as lowkey as possibly, till she got fed up and snapped. Now that she knows what would happen anyways, she knows theres no point in letting it get that far.
