Reminds me of “Royal Shop of the Young lady” in that regard. Everyone in that story is all, “Oh, if you hadn’t been depressed and isolated while being abused, then we could’ve helped you earlier or you could have helped yourself.” As if it’s that flipping easy to deal with years of neglect and abuse from your family.
