@Enig121598 Quite literally the thing most adopted and foster kids want to learn. “Why didn’t you want to take care of me” She could have been sick or weak, she was an experiment for a wizard and better food and care could have saved her. Even if it was completely selfish reasons, it’s a reason the book never tells Philomel and is better to get a bad reason then live without hearing one ever.
