I’m confused on why she didn’t just run away to her bio dad instead? Especially knowing that he tried to help her but only turned his back when she went evil. If she was going to try and please the emperor couldn’t she have just lived peaceful in the tower with her real father since she wouldn’t bother the real princess?? Or am I missing something?

I agree. It feels like forced character development. However, I read the spoilers and [SPOILER] they rekindle their relationship but since Phil still feels resentment towards how he treated her, they’re not lovingly close to each other and the emperor has to live with his actions. So I say that’s better than him suddenly getting an undeserved redemption arc.
One more thing that I don’t quite understand. How the hell did not the emperor not know she wasn’t his daughter when her hair and eyes are completely different to his and Isabella’s? he has to be colorblind for that to make sense.

I feel so conflicted. I want to be happy and excited about Philomel and her relationship with the emperor but it’s so hard to forget his earlier words. If she forgives just like this, I’m going to be really disappointed. Because without the character development it would mean they made the father a hurtful person just for the drama.

@hello there… ur point would be valid if he knew that she wasnt his biological child and that’s why he neglected her but naah he didn’t knew that still he ignore her. what love he has for her deceased wife if he cant even love their supposed child to. He just changed after he listen her crying in her dreams if he didn’t or she didnt knew her future ..would he still going to ignore her ??

Okay but the fact that FL is not the emperor’s biological daughter is making me a bit sad. Yk how much he loves her mother (aka the previous empress) but then it turns out the baby isn’t his. I don’t justify his action but that’s really hurt. Idk if there’s something between the empress and the emperor so I really looking forward to see how the author will solve this question of mine.
