…i really dont mind morally bankrupt protags and i actually found it very refreshing that she actually wants to go home to her old life instead of immediately embracing her new one but idk… there’s just something about her that bothers me. the duke is kind of boring personality wise and she’s just… not terribly likeable? at least not to me. the duke’s been stupid polite to her this whole time and the first time he says anything slightly shitty, she’s like “yea! he deserves all the shitty stuff ive been doing toward him!” just… idk, i guess its her self centered attitude? she also seems to treat the servants like shit which is… not great
idk, i’ve liked protags that are way more evil than she is but somehow she really bugs me. i dont care if she steals from the obscenely wealthy but theres something about the way she does it that feels really… yikes.
