@changemyname sometimes if the backing of the earring isn’t fastened correctly it just falls out….or! When you have super long hair (personal experience) sometimes it can get caught in the earring and can over time pull the earring out of your ear…since you don’t really have much feeling in that part of your ear, you don’t even feel it fall/falling out. I’ve lost quite a few singular earrings this way over time…since it’s implied that she “dropped something” it’s most likely that it just fell off on it’s own and she didn’t even notice.

The artist implied that she dropped it. Chances are the other lady loosen the earing. As she move away it dropped.
