I thought it’s cause the body changes to be able to accept the power of the guardian…and since it occurs before puberty it might fry the guardians’ ovaries/testes before they attain maturity or something🤔
What if she can bear children? Since her powers left her the moment she stepped out of her territory, doesn’t that mean she’s not bound by being a guardian when she’s on a foreign land? That makes her viable to have children no? Or maybe that’s just my wishful thinking.
