Oh shiet….I want to knownhis side. And why he was always so cold-hearted to her. Maybe he just didn’t know how to interact with her so came off as that. It seemed like a lack of communication created a rift. But it’s his fault for not taking her side when she sent him a letter. Also with her knowing their past, she couldn’t risk living that hell again.

I feel sorry for him; he did her wrong in another life… not yet in this. To win her, he went to the battlefield for years, without having the chance to attend his own wedding. I don’t think he had much of a choice. Not sure if he rebuked his wifes support request vs his various moms, also.

I also have some pity for him. Talk about bad timing. The dream indicates he has feelings for his wife, or at least her appearance.
The flashbacks Olivia has of their marriage show no affection or even words from him towards her. I do think that since he also lives with his mothers while not on the battlefield, he must have some idea of the type of people they are, if not then he’s an idiot.
Also, to completely disregard her letter to him asking for his help with domestic affairs….his reply to just follow his mothers orders, make me think he has no respect for her. His behavior in the past also says he has no respect for her, or sympathy.
To ignore her after she gave birth to their child while she looks like she is on death’s door…that is too cruel. Whatever his reasons were, they cant validate that type of behavior.
While it’s true that this James hasn’t done those things, yet anyway, Olivia is still traumatized from his treatment twords her in their 1st life. I have more sympathy for Olivia than for a man child like him.
