Honestly cases like this do exist in real life. And victim blaming is one of the main reasons why people under situations like this chose to not come out and ask for help. They become reliant to their abuser due to manipulation.
Some of the people commenting here are obviously very lucky to not have experienced these type of abuse hence, their thoughts are only to blame the victim thinking that there’s always an easy way out. Let’s not act like everyone is capable of being a hero/heroine in scenarios like this. Everyone is built different, some are raised with a spoonful of support whilst others are unlucky, which is also a key point to a persons survival when it comes to an abusive situation.
When you’re being abused, the abuser normally gives you the carrot and the stick. But the carrots offered are their manipulations(which comes in all forms and actions) which the victim would automatically think of as love. With their mind detached from reality, from all the abuse they go through, they think they can only rely on their abuser because from those manipulations, they are forced to believe no one will be there to help them.

omg what’s wrong with him??? seriously what kind of disorder does he have? she clearly love him…. then why???? he just want to isolate her and keep for himself but at the same time leave her to get bullied by his mother for 5 freaking years I seriously hate spineless fl, how come they not use their own brain??? only obey/listen to someone else??? are you a puppet really?? to be honest fl is also accountable for all that is happening to her she was against herself to begin with
