I love how they’re actually going into detail about the mental trauma that Lily has gone through. Although her mother is trying her very best, it cannot erase the fact that Lily was the one who worked, took care of, and acted as the parent her whole life for her mother. Realistically, it would take so much time for Lily to actually see her mother as someone she can depend on and not the other way around where the mother has always relied on Lily.
