The reason why the king is so stressed is because for YEARS the royal family have made the Lapileon family look like the bad guys who would “eventually rebel against the great empire” even though said Dukedom have been nothing but loyal since the very beginning. The Lapileons were more focused on their curse to deal thinking about power but that didn’t stop the imperial family from acting up on their fears towards them.
However, what happened at the Hunting festival wasn’t something the royal family could hide this time. Not from commoners and ESPECIALLY not from nobles. Everyone saw a powerful figure’s (Pereshati as the Arch Duchess) tent fall over and then they witnessed what appeared to be an attempted assassination. Pereshati was perfectly fine one moment, receiving treatment for minor wounds until she collapsed out of nowhere.
It also didn’t help the royal family when they saw Theordeo charge straight towards the 4th princess because EVERYONE at least knows that the arch duke does not attack without reason. And thus, suspicions regarding the 4th princess were raised.
Theordeo practically went the extra mile to get literally ALL the evidence against the 4th princess for her crimes. This was big because at that point, not even the king could refuse anymore.👏👏
This is confusing. The father (king) is trying to hide her? or locked her up in a far a way castle? Send her to another country? The b*tch is crazy, will find a way to pursue her dream of “win” the duke.
But the face in the last panel is priceless jajaja gave me a little satisfaction
