I’m glad the story is facing the fact that Peri doesn’t have strong emotional ties or loyalty to the duke personally, as they haven’t build a personal relationship, but rather a working partnership (in the novel it’s a bit different, but the manhwa doesn’t include those bonding moments)
So it makes sense that she’d heavily consider saying “screw it” and use the books were it not for the kids
