In previous chapters the fl told the Duke that she had been poisoned by something that felt like being poisoned by his blood and asked if the family sold their blood as a poison. He got really mad bc as policy to keep the family secret they don’t do that so he began to investigate it to prove her wrong but she was right and the little girl was being blood-let for her father to sell. Fl hasn’t told him about regressing yet as far as I can understand from the bad translation
