So, after the kidnapping of Grand Duchess (FML/MC), ML (the Grand Duke) threatened the king and went to meet the princess., since MC told him that princess wasn’t like that in personality in her past life or the life before she regressed due to Lapileon’s family blood. Grand Duke tortured the princess to find out some answers, and how she knew about their bloodline, and also because she said to sacrifice MC and she will be willing to treat their family curse.
From there on, the golden haired guy (Adeus), who helped MC pumped out an article explaining the reason behind the princess’ castle explosion and people going missing, pinning the blame towards the imperial family (the princess to be exact), and further linking the princess to perform heretical arts by offering the kidnapped and missing people as sacrifices.
Grand Duke’s (ML) family is now being opely antagonist to the imperial family and investigating the details (not clearly told yet) from the torture ML did on princess, all the while admitting to press that MC was the victim of princess’s scheme and it wasn’t the rebel forces as manipulated by imperial family before.
The imperial family, on the other hand, did admit princess’s involvement, but pinned the blame on the viscountess that helped in kidnapping the MC (becuase her child would have been the sacrifice otherwise, if I remember right).
From what I could further gather, they portrayed it such that the princess was/is in love with the Grand Duke and the viscoutness, being the fervent supporter of the princess, orchestrated this kidnapping of MC to help the princess get a chance or such, which brings us to the last few panels of temple peeps coming in to have a word with the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess, as they won’t let the princess be since she meddled with the heretic arts.
