Seems to me like Beatrice might be extra find of her sister and thinks that no one deserves he ror something mor at least ast not the men she’s involved with now. I kinda felt that maybe she went after Emile because she didn’t want him to have her sister and she probably proceeded to torture him for hurting her sister. She seems like a sister complex sister here
@hellycutey spoiler yes she actually isn’t a bad person. Beatrice was told to steal Emile(the ex fiance) away so the MC could be “sold” to the monster count. The spoilers aren’t super clear who had her do it but it’s assumed it’s the stepmom hence why the 2 stepsisters didn’t talk to each other often. it’s heavily implied that they could have had a good sibling relationship but stepmom interfered and lied.
