okay normally i give a lot of credit to characters behaving illogically cuz frankly, people behave illogically and an illogical character can make a lot of sense. for example, the mothers behavior can be explained by her being a person who has an excessively prideful personality and that pretty much explains this bullshit but fuck man, i still kind of hate her? i dont normally dislike prideful characters but what the fuck dude

What sometimes people don’t get is that when you are higher in authority it gets very dangerous in some stories even if dragons, popes, and kings are paying unnecessary “extra attention” to the main characters their life still gets very life threatened. In most stories, they get saved by the ml or fl or some dad or some sort, but the harsh reality is most of these cases they end up dead. And growing up with nobility and authority there are extra hardships in life for example assassinations, evil tutors who work as intel to high authority and etc. What mommy wants is a peaceful ordinary life and imagine the mental damage to someone like Eciel her classmates saying her mom is a sinner and her father is the tyrant emperor and telling them that her father is the emperor’s mad dog or some sort. As someone who has been mistaken as a Muslim and a terrorist in middle school in a batch surrounded by roman catholic pays a toll on who I am today makes me happy for the mother’s decision on prioritizing the children’s future over the husband don’t get me wrong a fatherless child in a commoner background is very common

Ma, you’re starting to really work my nerves with your need to flee. He’s lefit taken care of the biggest issues with Ma’s return to being a duchess. They have mutual affections for one another and she’s expressed her reason why she tried to stay so distant and we know now that, that isn’t neccessary anymore.
