Nuel: I’m sorry Dobin..I just.. it’s just..I was scared.
Dobin: SCARED of what? You played me like a fool. All for what? Was anything real? Why text me for so long and pretend to be my friend all while hiding in real life?
Nuel: I never-
Dobin: yes. You hid. You hid the truth after finding out I liked you as an author, You hid the truth after I found your notes and worse yet you tricked me into thinking that..that I could depend on you.
Dobin’s breathing starts to get worse as he hyperventilates.
Nuel: Dobin! What’s wrong?!
She pulls out her phone to call the emergency line but he pushes it down.
Dobin: j-just go Nuel..I-I can’t handle this..n-not again..leave me now or I’ll..fire, fire you.
Nuel falls back a step shock and horror evident on her face at the thought of everything ending.
Nuel: Dobin..I can’t-
Dobin: Why!?
Nuel thought to herself, why can’t she? He’s her horrible infamous Boss who is rude and apathetic to most everyone. So why can’t she let him go? Times of him taking her to the hospital, bringing her to lunch, encouraging her in her writing, and telling her that she needs to stand up for herself-flash through her mind as Dobin stares her down demanding her answer. Dispite his hard exterior she could tell that he was waiting for her to answer as if it depended life or death as if what she would say next would matter..
Nuel: …
Dobin: ok then..if that’s it. Bye~
Dobin stumbles and falls to the floor. Nuel rushes towards him and calls for help. As help arrives Nuel stays by his side and refuses to leave the whole time.
Darkness and flashes of memories pass by in dobin’s head. Nuel is there and she laughing at him cruelly.
“Ha! You thought I’d fall for a self centered jerk like you?” She walked away and the darkness starts closing in more and more chasing him as he rushed to catch her. A quiet voice pepps through the darkness.
: I’m sorry Dobin..if I had a due over I would..
What would she do?
: I would have.. well I was too scared of you hating me like I hated you..but now. Things are different, I can’t bring myself to hate you no matter what! It’s crazy because I used to think you never liked anything or anyone who didn’t meet your standards but after finding out you read my book. It was like you became human not some cold monster.
Dobin winced slightly at the harsh words and the dark started to push closer raising more panic in him.
: You aren’t like that though. You have pushed me to be better than I could’ve ever been. I just wish you knew how much I. How much I care for you now.
A hand stroked his hair ruffling it up before sliding across his face, resting there and moving away taking it’s comfort too. The darkness was pushed back by a light.
Dobin groaned and shuffled to get up. Nuel was gone now.
Later out of the hospital Nuel sat crying in the dark of her apartment.
Why has things happened this way? Was it too late?
A knock came on the door. She didn’t move to open it. The knock came again but more urgent this time. She sniffled and dragged herself over to open it.
Nuel: Go away I said I don’t want- D-dobin!?
Dobin stood in front of her watching her face intensely.
Dobin: Nuel I’m sorr-
Nuel cut him off by leaping onto him in a hug.
Nuel: If this is a dream I don’t want it too end ever!
Dobin blinked in surprise trying to recover from the shock. He placed his arms gingerly around her hesitating slightly.
Dobin: If this WAS a dream what would you do next?
Neul grinned widely her eyes still red.
Nuel: this-
She slowly eased too his face and kissed his mouth softly. In great surprise she jerked back.
Nuel: this IS real?!
Dobin chuckled.
Dobin: you bet
He kissed her this time but with more vigor and less hesitation. He broke the heated kiss to tell her.
Dobin: Neul.. I’m sorry..i wish I could have treated you better..I should have known that only someone as amazing as you could have made me fall twice for them. Can you forgive me?
Nuel kissed him.
Nuel: guess you’ll have to treat me even better from now on.
