Spoilers I’ve seen give reasons for this behavior, but not excuses for his past. Its clear there was some neglect going on, and regardless the reason why that happened he shouldn’t easily be forgiven. However he never mistreated her it seems, he didn’t show any favor or do anything different with her than he did his own children, yer you had to wonder at the fact that she has a whole lab.

Do you guys think that maybe she has an uncle or someone that wanted to raise her but was kept away when she was young and is now possessing the Dad? Idk, I just don’t trust a change like this. The closest I’ve ever seen at marriageable age of change in the father-daughter relationship is Father, I Don’t Want To Get Married, and he was nowhere near this bad of a dad.
