honestly he didn’t have to make it so hard for her after the rebellion, he didn’t take her side at every single turn (unless it was a physical threat) until she tried to kill herself. The psychological damage is immense
That was to be expected. she looked down at him because “he forced” her, as if she was high above him. Also, to be expected after her own upbringing. both poor souls are the result of the current society and the psychopathic (however it’s spelled) endeavours of her father.
Heiner constantly assumes Annette’s thoughts and feelings, which creates a major problem in their relationship. They barely communicate, and he jumps to conclusions without even talking to her. While I sympathize with his trauma, he seriously needs therapy—it’s not right to dictate how someone else feels. Annette has loved him all along, but he refused to believe it, trapped in his own imagination and assumptions that she never did.
I actually like their basic love story, yet both of them don’t want to speak out what they feel to each other. And how they have learnt from their mistake & rebuild their love feeling.

So it’s truly tiring reading like this.
Cmon, Author…what do you want from these characters? To where do you lead their storylines? Don’t let the readers getting disappointed over the love storylines.
