@cringy ok so first we have to see just how “sane” he is rn and even back then. I’d say if he didn’t let his obbsessiveness, his “pick me” attitude, his psychopathic attitude get over his head, then we’d have sympathized with him as much as we do with Annette, but no. The story, the rewinding clips of his orphaned childhood as u can see, concludes that he was greedy,obsessive, and whatnot already. Besides his actions have already made it hard for us to sympathize with him….it was his ignorance too that played a part in this Ml we know. I in particular now have no feeling of sympathy whatsoever left for him…no matter how much i try to lecture myself that he also went throught some horrible things, he also had reasons like this. But i came to realize that during this time Annette was unaunaware of his whole existence, his whole suffering. But everyone may not have same perceptions, some have different perceptions and i understand it but…the hurt that all the chapters before this, didn’t any of them leave an impression on u? How could someone forget all of that torture, isolation, abuse and everything! Atleast he had Hugo or Yugo, didn’t he?..I know annette may have had ansger or whatevers, but they weren’t that close were they now. Throughtout all the suffering, there was no one she could atleast call “a nice stranger” or “subordinate” or “colleague”. Thx for whoever read upto this much…i didn’t want to write this muchh!! But i only wanted to tilt on annette’s side but for most of this, i’d have been neutral if Ml reason had just been equivalent to what he had done to annette…

ISTG Anyone who says that he should suffer more is sick cuz no character deserves to suffer THAT badly it depends tho. But Him it’s ok to not forgive whatver Heiner did to Anette. Honestly still hate him for what he did but I pity him so😭 I feel bad for both him and Anette and he is suffering since he just lost Anette who was the only hope he had I guess. All I want is a happy ending for both the MC’s
