MY READING HISTORY
You don't have anything in histories

Ah.. as a person who’s now living in the country where citizens are suppressed by military, I can understand the hatred of those brother and sister…. They know that their eldest brother death is not FL fault but can’t help hate her….. Like we hate the families of the military because of the cruelty done by military….

I srsly wanna hug her soo bad…and tell her to let it all out

Okay but who cares? Why is it her fault if her dad was secretly an awful guy? Why must she bare the weight and misery of his mistakes despite being innocent herself? Her worst crime was maybe being sheltered and ignorant and for that she’s had her parents killed in front of her, been painted by a villain of nation, hated and ridiculed by all. she’s stuck in an awful and hateful marriage everyone condemns her for. She has no freedom, no happiness and now she’s been shot and lost her baby. I’d say she’s more than paid for the crime of being a sheltered girl. I don’t really give a crap about this woman’s brothers sob story. she lost her child and she has the audacity to come here and tell her all this. For what??? She wants her to give him mercy? Understand where he’s coming from? Idfc. You an innocent woman and killed her baby. He deserves whatever he gets.

But why is ML STILL downplaying her very real mental illness? Why is he passing off her very real emotions as a cold or a headache. Why is he passing off her denial of mental counseling as an “outdated” and “stubborn” when he should at least try to emphasize with her? I get she is somewhat naive and sheltered but that does not mean that she deserves to be abused.

You can’t understand their pain and why they hate fl so much fully, unless you live in a country with abusive and dictator regimes…

IT’S a good thing to have a dosage of reality. Parents are humans, just like children, emperors, priests, popes, and ourselves

I don’t get you people do you even use your minds where did you all the money and privileges FL used came form……where ofcourse
And ofcourse the people’s who lost their close family , most of them don’t know she doesn’t have anything to do with what happened and ofcourse will resent her and some will just let it go as it’s the life.

I can’t empathize with the FL. I do realize that she’s a naive character. She admits that she knows nothing about politics and respects the revolution. I feel bad for her situation. Her hands are not tainted, but she is accused of sins solely because of her birth. But fiction reflects reality. This is a representation of the division of classes. FL is an incredibly battered and isolated character which makes me root for her happiness, but I can’t bring myself to be mad at how others think of her.
Strictly speaking, it’s not her fault she was born rich. But it also isn’t anyone’s fault they were born poor. Their angered is directed at her, because the rest have been dealt with.
I empathize with the commoners, but I don’t condone their harassment of her, although their fixation and prejudice against her is realistic.
She’s ignorant. And that’s essentially what makes her a woman of nobility. I’m realizing that I’m not a fan of apolitical and simple minded characters. I can appreciate her character and understand it, but I can’t root for her like I usually do with manhwas. Arguably, this shows the effectiveness of the writing, too.

So her father was a…….

What– How is he giving a KNIFE to a woman who is mentally exhausted by being scapegoated, being shot, and having had a miscarriage?? This moose knuckle! 🤬

Honestly I feel so bad for the Fl because I don’t know if the other girl has any intention or knowledge of her miscarriage and still decided to talk about her baby, but if she didn’t then I understand But, the part that still pissed me off is the fact that author really put this in knowing how the Fl still struggles with her trauma and I read (past tense read) the spoiler at bottom on how she tried killing herself now and it just really hurts because I don’t like reading it but I want to know what happens next at the same time but if I’m so honest I just hopes she gets her happy ending after all that she went through.

Wow this makes me wanna cry. Only reading it to make myself feel better about my life.

You can’t expect anyone to improve mentally when they’re still in the environment that injured them in the first place.
If someone catches pneumonia, you don’t send them out in the snow in wet clothes.
If someone breaks their leg you don’t have them scale a mountain.
How the hell is she supposed to recover when you refuse to treat her like a human being rather than your victory trophy.

*SPOILER!*
*TW!*
After Annette apologizes to Catherine on behalf of her father, she attempts su*cide with the same knife Heiner had given her for self-defense – but not immediately! There are a couple of events that will take place in between.
