The one who cursed them had hair that looked darker than purple, didn’t even really look to be a shade of purple either I think, and plus the eyes were red instead of turquoise (turquoise eyes seeming to be a feature unique to rose’s family) so mostly not. And plus the emperor married multiple women to gain land, rose’s family still has land and only lost their fortune due to being scammed as a young child.
