The disgust on my face while reading this chapter…. at the end of the day he sold his ten year old daughter. No feelings of “love” make up for his actual actions of abuse and neglect. I wish the author didn’t try to make this resolved all perfectly happy. Think of all the actual parents that abuse their children under the excuse that they’re just doing it for their own good.
