Ah yes, the parent who “protects” and “shelters” their child to the point of neglect. I absolutely despise people like that. They don’t communicate well and aren’t considerate at all. If they were considerate they’d at least put themselves in their child’s shoes and think about how lonely and awful being over protected can be. And if they communicated well then there’d be a conversation and very little misunderstanding on why they’re “over protecting” their child. There’s a million things parents like this can do to improve their relationship with their child. Putting in zero effort to help the situation is just awful. He told her “I better not ever see you in this city again, you are cut off from the family, and go get married to this stranger and do everything he tells you to do”. How could she not have resentment 😭
He is tryna protect her ……. But even I would be pissed tho . But it’s heartbreaking that some parents have no other choice tho which brings even more misunderstanding
