Because they altered some points in the novel there were parts of the manhwa that are not justified as well. Eg. Blanchefort Family’s possessions were passed to Arnon, under Zacahry’s name after Count Blanchefort and his son died. In the novel, Bianca did sleep with Fernand. This was used as a justification for her to be kicked out of the Arno castle when Zachary died, along with the fact that she wasn’t able to produce an heir. That is why she died homeless.
In the novel, Bianca was sent to Arno at age of 7 while Zachary is 20 years old (13 years age gap). But in the manhwa, Bianca was 9 and Zachary was 16? (7 years age gap) Correct me if I’m wrong lol.
Points to remember/ some explanation:
* In the novel, the 7 year old Bianca was literally a child compared to Zachary who was 20 already. So the two of them can’t really see eye to eye. And since Zachary is awkward towards handling children and Bianca is afraid of his grown up physique, they weren’t able to actually build a friendly relationship.
* After the death of Bianca’s nanny, it became more difficult to approach Bianca. There was a scene in the novel where Bianca looked at Zachary with much contempt because she was so upset to be sent in a strange place and then her nanny suddenly died. After that he avoided her as much as possible as his way of comforting her. Bianca did the same thinking that Zachary doesn’t care for her at all. So he started showering her with luxurious gifts in order to gain her favor and also to compensate her longing, as she was raised as a preciousdaughter of the Blanchefort family. They never had proper communications as well.
* It says in the novel that Bianca is from a well off family enough for her to marry a son from a respectable family such as the duke. So Zachary felt sorry towards her wife so he tolerated Bianca’s actions.
* The reason why people in Arno think of Bianca negatively was because in the novel, Zachary as well as the employees of Arno kept simple clothing. The Arno castle was not decorated lavishly unlike Bianca’s room. When she was younger, her buying luxurious products and decorating her room similar to her room in Blanchefort Castle was her only source of entertainment. Her spending became more notable when her nanny died.
* Bianca never really matured. Aside from her nanny, no one from Arno county really cared enough to reprimand her for her actions or discipline her or something.
His protection, along with her family’s protection, seemed to be basically just keeping her out and at arms length. No thought of what would happen if they die (which is weird for a soldier who is always on the front line).

I love that after going back, her personality doesnt change. She is very meticulous about her appearances and image and no matter what it’s part of her nobility way of thinking. It’s great to see her that way, instead of just someone who suddenly change their whole personality after returning to the past.
Its nice that he was trying to protect her from the twistedness of politics but now she’s an adult woman and his wife, and she doesn’t have any skills but she has to enter that political battlefield anyways. He didn’t really do her a favor.
honestly… the more we learn about bianca’s backstory, the more i feel sympathy and pity for her.. she was a child who was forced to marry a man much older than her for politics. her family never contacted her after she got married and she could only rely on her nanny, who died when she was a young teenager. no one ever taught her anything or even showed her kindness. no one even felt any pity for her, a literal child-bride. so yes, bianca was insufferable in her past life, but it was only enabled because her husband allowed it bc that was his only way of showing her pity. :/
