It’s a quite typical story: Woman with an unlucky modern life transmigrates into a villainnous noble character in the world of a novel, lives as a good person there, takes care of “her” young son who was abused up until then, contract-marries a (also noble) father for him, falls in love with that guy and goes through some difficulties in order to create a happy new family.
The childcare is cute, the idea of magic being used in the shape of rings is interesting, the male lead is sly and flirty instead of cold and battle-worn, but the lovestory and the struggles of the female lead with all kinds of people in this world (including the typical annoying royal guy) take up more time than just heaing the boy’s traumatized heart. Still, it’s a light and easy read with pleasing artwork, so I’d recommend it.
I found a good translation at Bato.to up to chapter 26 (as of 2024 11 01) made by Kakao Scan (they do translations for Tapas), the manhwa is called “A Simple Guide To Surviving as a Stepmom” over there. The art looks very much like that from “Hated It Even More”, which also has a better translation on Bato.to under the name “The Last Straw” btw.

Well, I drop this in chap 12, the unbreakable duke who had so much hatred for women literally became attached to the fl in like two chapters. Not to mention that the FL cares more about a marriage than healing her child’s wounds appropriately.

To be fair, the reason she stears clear of her son is because her body belongs to the person who abused him. He’s still scared of her and even though she’s changed now, because she’s a different person, that past will always be there.
