Her family neglected her. The worse thing is that it was unintentional on their part which I don’t know if it is worse or not. They say that they love all their kids equally. However, their actions are the direct opposite. They don’t know a thing about fl. She’s like a stranger in her own house and she’s the only one who knows that. Which makes it heart-breaking. She’s not a sister. She’s like an ornament that’s just there for them to move around and play nursemaid to her sick-ever-since-birth and spoiled younger sister. She is overshadowed by her successful older brother and the younger brother who is the twin of the sick sister is and a troublemaker used to getting his way. Her parents gave the other 3 children all the attention and she gets none. To make up for the void she has, she directs all of herself into art which is literally killing her but she can’t stop because it is all she has.
For years, she put her family first because that was what she was told to do.
Eldest daughter syndrome squad right here.When she decided to live for herself for the remaining time she has left, she left the house and no one noticed for months. It took a fucking long time for her “family” to realised that she was even gone.
I am glad that she’s spending it with ml who supports her with everything she wants to do even though they were more or less strangers went she came to his territory. I am happy there is no ‘revenge’. In the way that the family becomes ruined and they are on the street penniless. That might be fun. However, A bit of spoilers…
Her plan is to be the greatest artist with her name everywhere. Just her name. No family name attached. Yes, honey. Go fulfil that dream. It’s the best fucking ‘revenge’. They don’t deserve any credit. She made herself and she deserves that recognition. Best part is other people might not believe the family if they say that she’s their daughter because they never talk about fl. It’s sad but that’s what made it even more cathartic if the manhwa ever updates and we see that plan carried out.I would say her plan is perfect. Make them regret for all of their actions towards Karina.
The story is compelling like spicy korean noodles, it hurts you and yet you can’t stop. ML is a green flag and helps her out with keeping her family away and trying to cure her illness.
Anyways, I am going to binge this again.

To be honest I looked forward to her “revenge” but I hasn’t really happened and her situation is not getting better, at this point I feel like I lost my time hoping for a longer and without so much filling story. If you want romance I recommend I you want revenge/regretfulness of a hurting family you better look elsewhere
