The parents never listen. All they say is that Katrina is in the fault because she is the oldest child but what about their job? The parents need to teach the kids, all of them, not just her so she will be the one that only knows. They will probably use her if she tells them about her magic artist powers.
They keep saying because she’s the oldest because she’s the oldest…but forget that because they’re freaking parents they should be treating her like a child fairly and should be aware that they’re being unreasonable and cruel. But I guess the only one who has to be mature is Karina. Gosh I hate parents like this.

Right? I’m a middle as well and I can relate to this so much. I’m the second child out of four so I got 2 younger siblings, meaning double the being-ignored-treatment. The author manages to portray the feelings of a middle child very well. The way she copes with it is also similar to how some people handle their problems. Though disconnecting from reality is only a temporary solution and will not make her family situation any better. But talking it out with her family won’t do any good either(as we saw in this chapter). So, with her short amount of time left and her troublesome situation at home, I think leaving and enjoying her remaining time doing the things she wants is definitely the best choice! (Though I’m no expert on these types of things. I also have 0 courage so I don’t know where I get the audacity to judge her choices from :P. Still totally rooting for Karina tho~~❤️).
There are missing panels to this chapter. There’s supposed to be a couple of panels where Karina tells her parents off by saying that she was surprised they remembered where her room was since they never bothered to go visit her in the past.
