The reason being for being awarded is because they neglected Karina and after 2 month’s they realize that she ran away but when the realized they thought she will come back. And when the duke said that she has artist disease and went to her fiancé house he didn’t believe that she was sick but believed that she went to her fiancé’s house, even the duke questions this behavior and makes a comment about that, truly are scumbags. The fact that the father’s dwelling on how his daughter is acting “unfilial” by running away, than to worry on her health for travelling that far of a distance, just shows his character as a real parent. Karina going far away from them is actually already filial enough for me. If I were her, I would’ve conceived something lethal with those miracles to give as revenge to my so called “family”
