The story was going pretty well, but because of a ridiculous death by defense, he lost his divine power? I mean basically that great shield and the power to heal, were removed… and replaced by tank-like abilities?… They ruined the story… Most of the monsters are evil, so it made sense that he had great divine power and if he was also a combat cleric it made even more sense, but now they screwed up the whole plot and he no longer retains his abilities… Bad move by the author to sabotage his own story…
