Maybe if they’d spent some time developing the poison or the victory earlier instead of JUST having the two of them act cute together, or that chapter where literally nothing happened… Seriously, over the course of a few pages they: revealed the dukedom was artificially poisoned, had ML go out and then come back from fighting monsters right away(?), travelled to the capital (got invited to a ball off panel), got snubbed by the emperor, went to the ball, and we didn’t even see the conclusion of their convo with the prince…
